Google and Squarespace ANALYTICS

We collect information on visitors to our site through both Google Analytics and through the Analytics tools available through Squarespace, our website provider. We use the data to know more about readers like where they come from geographically and regionally (urban versus suburban), and their sailing interests. For example, Squarespace Analytics can tell me us long an anonymous reader spends reading each particular article or section of the site. Pretty cool, right? Data collected is anonymous although both sites track IP addresses. You can read Squarespace’s privacy policy here and learn about what specific data they track here. Additionally, Squarespaces's Data Processing Addendum is here, and their Terms of Service are here. Google’s Privacy and Terms for their Partner Sites can be found here. The previous link includes information on how you can control the information collected by Google on those sites and apps as well as a link to the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, an add-on that allow users to prevent their data from being used in Google Analytics.
